The Rare Disease Diversity Coalition is now welcoming applications for the annual RDDC Fellowship Program, which prepares emerging healthcare leaders to advance equity in the rare disease space. Grounded in the lived experiences of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, rural, and lower-income communities, the fellowship pairs fellows with leading rare disease organizations to strengthen equitable and ethical practices. Fellows gain firsthand insight into the realities of those impacted by rare diseases and help shape more inclusive research, care, and support services.

Launched in 2023, the RDDC Fellowship Program focuses on advancing equity for the #RareWithinRare: communities of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, rural residents, and others historically underrepresented in rare disease research and care.
